CAN I HAVE SPECIALIST HOME SCHOOLING FOR MY CHILD?
Specialist home schooling is a system where parents are obliged to provide education – teaching and learning – which requires specialist knowledge, skills and experiences in order to meet the educational needs of the child. Any child can receive specialist home schooling except for children with special educational needs (SEN) who are currently enrolled at a SEN school. In this instance, if you wish to home school your, you must seek permission from their school before you disenroll them. However, your child may need specialist tutor to support their educations. Indeed, any child can receive specialist home schooling including those who are gifted and talented.
IS HOME SCHOOLING GOOD FOR MY CHILD?
Whether home schooling will be good for your child or not depends on several factors. This will include how prepared you are to support your child, how the child learns best and more importantly, the environment within which your child learns best. Even though, you do not need to be a qualified teacher to educate your child at home, and there are no home school qualifications you must receive, it is essential that your child is motivated to learn. If your child learns better in a highly social, structured environment of a school or find it difficult to motivate themselves, they may find home schooling more difficult compared to a child who prefers less regimented study in a quieter, more contemplative environment.

THE HOME SCHOOLING ON OFFER
Currently, we offer home schooling for children from the ages of 11 upwards. In working with parents, we ensure that our courses are delivered to cover the National Curriculum. As apparent you want your child to study the entire National Curriculum or skip parts that you do not wish your child to study. For example, many parents may not want their children to study the Theory of Evolution due to personal or religious beliefs. Our tutors are flexible and will work with parents to deliver lessons that are deemd fit and proper for their children.

The courses delivered to your child are carefully designed according to your preference, the child’s ability and the outcomes of initial assessment.
